Visiting artist in The Åland Archipelago Guest Artist Residence Program in Island of Kökar, summers 2016, 2018 & 2019
For many years Heidi had a dream about spending time and work in Archipelago. This dream came true in summer 2016. May 2018 and August 2019 she was able to return there to work for whole month.
She found local clay from seashore and abandoned field. Pure red granite powder from roadwork site. Cycled and most importantly was free to make art on potter's wheel.
"I can think clearly while I work on potter's wheel. Even pottery needs consentration I can some times think by the wheel totally new ideas.“
